The most effective psychotherapy is a collaborative journey based in a relationship that is warm, accepting and respectful. Many people today are stressed and want relief from problems like anxiety, and depression. Or they simply want to feel more present and connected in their own lives and relationships. Therapy can heal from trauma and help you find your way to the life you want and deserve.  I have been in practice for almost 15 years, working with young adults, adults and older adults. I have trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and EMDR, and have experience with other modalities such a mindfulness and other trauma-informed therapies.

I help people with recovery from trauma, anxiety and depression, bipolar disorder. If you are struggling with the fallout from childhood neglect and abuse, you may be asking yourself, "was it really that bad? Why can't I just get over it?" If you want to work with a therapist who will both help you feel safe and encourage you to push your boundaries to get to that better life, we may be a good fit. I believe in a strengths-based approach and work to find the right therapy for each individual, whether that is a short term, problem solving approach or deeper work that addresses problematic, long-standing patterns of behavior. My background in the arts allows me to have a creative approach to my work as a therapist, and I enjoy using expressive arts with my patients as well.

Clients who have had unsatisfactory experiences with therapy in the past tend to work well with me.

Finding the right therapist is extremely important, so please contact me for a brief phone consultation to see if I might be a good fit for you.
